Dell Ethernet Driver

to everyone. I have Dell Dimension 4550 Laptop in my home. When I tried to use the Internet on that, I come to know that it is not working. Now I come to know that the problem is happening due to the driver for the Ethernet Controller. I have tried to install the drivers from internet by downloading the drivers for the Ethernet Controller. But, then also it is giving me status as below:
Quote:
"The drivers for this device arer not installed. (Code 28)".
How to solve my problem for the Ethernet driver. I have Windows xp installed.
