Advent 4213 Netbook for UK

Advent has a new netbook for the masses - the 4213 model, and it has the added advantage of coming with an integrated SIM card slot for mobile broadband capability.

Unfortunately for the rest of the world, the Advent 4213 is available only in the UK, Advent 4123 adding a built-in SIM card slot to the mix. While it's getting increasingly tough to distinguish the rebadges from the rip-offs, this one appears to be based on ECS' G10IL netbook, with it boasting all the same design cues (minus the LED-adorned trackpad button) and identical specs, including a 10.2-inch display, a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and Window XP as standard.

It is slightly heavier compared to those sub-1kg models, tipping the scales at 1.4kg. The Advent 4213 will retail for £349 and comes in a choice of silver or black colors.

the Advent 4211, that was an MSI Wind variant, it's a 10.2-inch ultra-portable but benefits from an embedded SIM card slot for mobile broadband that pushes the price from the 4211's £279 to £349.

The new netbook weighs 1.4kg, offers the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and runs Windows XP Home.

The diminutive device has 1GB memory and a 160GB hard disk drive, gets built-in speakers and a "stylish" silver and black chassis.
